Movie Reviews & Interviews from Washington

My Official 2014 Oscar Predictions!

I’ve been looking forward to tonight’s Academy Awards for months! 2013 was such an incredible year for movies and even though some of my favorite movies didn’t manage to score any nominations (Spring Breakers, The Spectacular Now, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Drinking Buddies, etc.) that is an all too common feeling of disappointment for me.
I’m hoping for a few upsets tonight including Leonardo DiCaprio winning Best Actor over Matthew McConaughey and Gravity winning Best Picture over 12 Years A Slave. I’m looking forward to seeing what fabulous gowns will grace the red carpet before the show and how Ellen Degeneres will measure up this year as our host.
The Oscars are a film nerd’s ultimate night in entertainment and I couldn’t be more excited today!
It’s finally here! Happy Oscars Day!!
