I am pleased to announce that I will be on a panel at the DC Humanities think-and-drink event on Tuesday February 21. The ‘Humanitini’ panel will focus on ‘Distortions of the District’ regarding film and filmmaking in DC and how the city is portrayed through movies.
Talk to local film experts about the way Washington DC has been portrayed in both feature and documentary film. Confirmed panelists include filmmakers Aviva Kempner, Ellie Walton, and Steven Nero; as well as representatives from DC Film Girl, Our City Film Festival, and the DC Film Alliance. The discussion will be moderated by Amy Saidman of SpeakeasyDC.
The event will be held at Bohemian Caverns: Tap and Parlour 2001 11th Street, NW (At U Street). The Humanitini will begin at 6pm, and will last approximately an hour and half. The events are completely free and open to the public (donations accepted).
